Growing location
Made from a blend of Barbera d’Alba (70%) and Langhe Nebbiolo (30%) grapes.
Vinification
The two varieties are picked together at the end of October so they can ferment together in a particular blend that gives the wine body and a long cellar life.
It is aged for 18 months in big casks of Slavonian oak before being bottled and stored in the cellar prior to its release onto the market.
Tasting profile
A full-bodied wine combining Barbera’s acidity and colour with the body and longer life of the Nebbiolo.
Food pairings
Like all great red wines, ideal with rich, demanding dishes; good with mature cheeses too.
